Open Monday 16/9

2 solos this night.

"Entre la Locura y la Belleza" Performed by Estefanía Dondi.

"Geography is no longer the Master"

created by "La Fabulosa ChanchAvalancha"
Performed by Paola Rodríguez Ch.

First out is Mrs. Dondi. Strict and severe she walks towards us. Stops.
" Liebestraum " from F.Liszt fills the space and Dondi loses everything. She is like a wild and passionate V. Gergiev conducting Vienna Philarmonic. After a well developed crescendo she finishes this first part with the music in a sublime and closing way.

The second part starts in the corner with a sublime light and a lonely soprano voice - un bel di vedremo: Madama butterfly by Puccini.
The movements are now more dense and soft. She seems to fall down in a hole with slippery clay.
The soprano sings higher and higher but Mrs Dondi falls down down, crawling against the last and only remaining light.

The third part is for us. The music from J.Brel (Les désespérés) and Estefanía Dondi are melting together and she are delivering a sentimental and a frenetic love explosion with blue colors, right up in our faces. "Entre la Locura y la Belleza" is a performance with good selected music and a great dancer. For some people that´s not enough for a contemporary dance performance. For me is it absolutely FAB this night.

"Geography is no longer the Master" performed by Paola Rodríguez Ch. Is a dark, noisy and not always a smoothie journey to follow.
After a loud off stage sound in darkness, Paola appears in a bright and sharp flashlight while a garage-industry-metal soundscape is waving over us.

Darkness.

Tender light and Paola is twisting around herself exploring a spot. Light out.

Darkness.

In ambiguous light she forms a spot with a pack of cards. She gets “thrown out”.

Darkness.

This continuously swapping between light and darkness doesn´t really help Paola to create the dynamic that her solo needs to communicate more deepely.

That´s a pity! Because she´s a brilliant mover and has a coolness on stage that is great to watch.

I´m looking forward to see a re-worked version or something completely new.
